Job Title: Veem Backup Specialist
- The Veeam Backup Specialist will be working in the IT department and be the key resource for support of Veeam Backup systems and facilitate their optimal use.
- The resource will work closely with IT management to ensure we have solid demand management from business. This requires engagement with both business process owners and relevant SMEs throughout the company.
- Design, deploy, migrate, and maintain backup infrastructure solutions for small to medium size organizations including on-prem, cloud, and hybrid backup and implementations.
- Lead technical discussions with clients (internal and external) and vendors related to the design, deployment, and migration of implementation projects.
- Review and develop technical requirements for cloud infrastructure solutions including the development of internal and client documentation deliverables.

As a Veeam Backup Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our critical data and ensuring that our IT systems are resilient and prepared for any unforeseen challenges. Your responsibilities will include:
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Veeam Implementation: Design, deploy, configure, and manage Veeam Backup solutions for our organization’s data protection needs.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery strategies to safeguard our critical data assets. Monitoring: Monitor backup operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the integrity and availability of backup data.
- Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize Veeam configurations and performance to meet our evolving requirements. Security: Implement security best practices to protect backup data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of Veeam configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to understand data protection requirements and develop effective solutions.
- Training: Provide training and guidance to team members and end-users on Veeam usage and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Veeam Backup Specialist or similar role.
- Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, data protection, and disaster recovery.
- Proficiency in Veeam Backup & Replication software.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity and security.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
